Salih's Fight Against Cancer

If you didn't know, Salih Williams, aka "E" The Fifth Letter, aka Bootsy Vegas, aka The DC Summer Camp Hero has been struggling with lymphoma cancer for almost two years. He was first diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in early 2016. He underwent aggressive chemotherapy and with much success he was cancer free. Nine months later, he started feeling ill again, and the test results were not good, the cancer was back.
Salih started chemo again, and this time, his medical team suggested a peripheral-blood stem-cell transplantation, which is where he is today. These past two years have left him without a consistent paycheck and really big highs and lows. He was JUST starting to get back on his feet, but cancer had other plans.
Salih has been a good friend to so many people in the DMV and Charlottesville areas. Can you remember the go-go where you partied with him all night? I remember LISSEN @ Republic Gardens. His friend Kia told me her favorite LISSEN shows were at Amazon in Laurel. Do you recall how good of a counselor he was at the summer camp or youth program you attended? Did he make you laugh as you listened to him on the radio? Did you ever talk to him about the Redskins? HTTR! Salih is my friend and yours.
Along with continued prayer, we are asking for donations, no matter how big or small. Salih still has a long road ahead to recovery and just needing basic necessities like food, rides to the hospital, and living expenses are causing stress and anxiety. The donations will assist him with his cost of living expenses over the next year as he starts this next phase in his battle with cancer, hopefully with a focus on recovery and not worry.
