(A local newspaper story about the fire here) Our friend Salem's apartment building caught fire on the afternoon of March 8th, 2019, destroying many of his personal belongings. Thankfully no one was injured in the process. This does, however, leave a great guy without a place to live and without many of the furnishings he had accumulated in his first apartment by himself. We'd like to help him fill in the gaps as he finds a new place to call home while finishing out his master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Oregon State University. We'd specifically like to cover the costs of school essentials such as his laptop and ipad which were destroyed in the fire. Thanks to anyone who can help out a guy who has been a true friend to so many.
