Hello My name Jose Torres just wanted to start a go fund me for my friend Salem unfortunately his home burn down and it’s a total loss .

About six months ago he captured and killed a rat in his garage. Apparently this rat mad a nest in the small area of the roof eave where the garage door light is. The rat chewed the wire at that time. It just so happened to arc while him and his family were away. They did have a contractor working on a 1000sqft addition at the time the fire started. The contractor smelled the fire and investigated and found the fire in the garage. He called 911 and within minutes the fire department was there but as we know it spread to the whole attic space by that time. Due to flooding, smoke, and fire nothing in the house is salvageable.

He just signed a lease to an apartment for 6 months. It is estimated to take 6 months or more to do the rebuild.

Any help is much appreciated to help out friend during this hard time to rebuild
