Neigh there, I'm Akasha Ren, thank you for watching my video above. I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear sister Salem and brother Jasper. Their journey is one of pain, hope, and the resilient spirit of these amazing sentient beings.

At Luna Mystics Sanctuary, our mission is simple yet profound: to give a second chance to animals discarded by society, whether due to medical issues, abuse, neglect, or the horrors of horses being sent to slaughter. But today, I'm not here to talk about our sanctuary's mission. I'm here to share the stories of Salem and Jasper, two remarkable souls in need of your help.

Salem, once known as "Bully," entered our lives in mid-September last year. Her tiny frame and protruding shoulders earned her a name that spoke of struggle. Despite our efforts with corrective measures, Salem remains in constant pain. Her days are marred by tears, even with medication. For three long years before finding us, she endured this agony. Another dwarf rescue warned us that without significant improvement and if surgery wasn't an option that euthanasia might be her only relief. Salem started with wedges and being seen by a vet to determine if surgery would work for her. The vet suggested braces.

Yet, amidst her pain, Salem's spirit remains unbroken. Her eyes, filled with love and longing, mirror the dreams she holds dear—to run freely with her fellow dwarfs, to chase the wind across open pastures. But for now, those dreams are tethered by the pain that grips her delicate frame.

Then there's Jasper, a handsome young lad with a heart of gold. His

initial appearance masked the severity of his condition—legs twisted and underweight, hidden beneath a shroud of fur. His every step is a testament to his resilience, despite the pain that shadows his every movement. Like Salem, he yearns to gallop alongside his kin, to revel in the joys of companionship and freedom.

Consultations with experts have led us to a ray of hope—leg braces from Derrick Campana from Bionic Pets, a beacon of possibility for Salem and Jasper. And in a twist of fate, it's heartwarming to know that one of the first animals (a dwarf named Lightning) Derrick Campana's Bionic Pets and Wizard of Paws ever helped shares the same struggles as Salem. Perhaps it's a sign that together, we can make miracles happen.

Derrick from Bionic Pets, famed for his work on the TV show "Wizard of Paws," is stepping in to help. Watch as he crafts custom leg braces for Salem, designed to give her a chance not just to walk, but possibly to run and play like her friends. This video captures the touching request for help in Salem’s journey towards a pain-free life. Derrick is also making braces for Jasper to help with his leg issues. Unlike Salem, Jasper can walk a bit more, yet he too lives in pain and longs for normal legs. Derrick believes with time and a few sets of braces we can correct his legs. We will follow Jaspers journey as well.
