Sale United Powerchair Football Club

Donation protected
Hi , my names Tom Dore. I’m raising money for Sale United’s Powerchair football team by running 5km a day, every day of the 2023 year, with the aim to raise as much as possible to go towards a new Powerchair for the club. A little about the team, players range in ages and also disabilities, the team do a fantastic job with the coaching and training/ matches provided for the players, unfortunately due to the cost of the adapted chairs it means the players have to share the chairs, this is a lot more difficult than it sounds as some of the players need to use a hoist to get in and out of the chair and also then having to change the controls on the chair to suit the individual. The chairs unfortunately are expensive and beyond the reaches of some of the families of the players. From a personal point I run a football coaching company based in Lymm, for myself and the players I coach it’s often the case of lacing up your boots and jumping on the pitch, for the players at the power chair club it’s waiting for their go and missing time playing their favourite sport, sport in any form in my opinion should be accessible to all. That being said I’m hoping to raise as much as possible to be able to give the opportunity for their players to get more time in their chairs playing football.
