Sale el Sol – A Space to Grow, Dream, and Surf

In Chacahua, a small coastal village in Oaxaca, many children have limited access to quality education and safe spaces to simply be kids. That’s why we created Sale el Sol – a project that opens up new opportunities for children and teenagers in the community.

Sale el Sol is a welcoming place where kids can come together to learn, create, and enjoy being children. We offer playful classes in Spanish, English, and math, creative workshops – from cooking to jewelry making – and free surf lessons, especially for girls, who often have less access to the ocean.

We also work closely with the local teenagers. Through surfing, we help them discover new paths, stay motivated, and believe in their own potential. Our first surf trip with them was an unforgettable experience – and we hope to organize many more. We also assist with official documents like passports, so they can join surf competitions and explore life beyond the island.

But Sale el Sol is not just about giving – it’s about building something together. The children and teens are actively involved. They help, contribute, and take responsibility, because we believe in their strength and their ability to shape their own future. We don’t offer charity – we create chances, side by side, with trust, respect, and participation.
