Please help Salah continue his nursing education

I am sharing this on behalf of Salah Al-Asser

My name is Linda Todd. I live in BC, Canada.

I visited, lived and worked in Gaza in 2009-2010 and got to know many wonderful people. I taught at the American International School in Gaza.

Now seeing the horrors that are continuously raining down on the people of Gaza is utterly heartbreaking.

This young man, Salah, is younger than my youngest child. He was studying nursing but his university no longer exists. It's been destroyed by Israeli bombs.

You donations will help him get to a place where he can continue his education and so be better equipped to help keep others alive.

Here is his story in his own words:

I am Salah Al-Assar, I live in a disaster area destroyed by the war called Gaza. I studied a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Al-Azhar University in Gaza. I have finished my studies so far, but I cannot obtain my degree because of the fees required of me. Because of the war, I lost my home and I live in a tent in the street in the Deir al-Balah area due to the repeated displacement. I lost many of my relatives and friends, and they are now among the dead. I benefited from my experience by volunteering without pay at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah. Finally, I ask you to help me obtain my degree and leave Gaza so that I can save myself from this destructive flood for us and live a humane life like the rest of the world. Thank you.

15000 dollars ( USD)is enough for me to get my certificate and the coordination to leave the Gaza Strip on my own, but my family needs a larger amount to leave.

It was previously in Rafah, but it was completely destroyed. We cannot reach Rafah at all because the army has been there since we were forcibly removed from our home.

I really thank you for standing with me. I am very grateful to you for everything you do to help me survive this war.
