Sometimes, life calls you to take a leap of faith. Sala/Tonya took that leap of faith by moving from Georgia to Florida to be closer to her family, with the agreement by her employer (The IRS) that she would still maintain her position with the IRS during her stay there. Unfortunately, January 2025 happened, and the country experienced unprecedented government shutdowns and massive layoffs. The IRS was no exception.
She was blessed to find employment with her cousin Nikki, who created a position just for her. However, the distance to Nikki's house was substantial. She found a job that was closer to her house. However, after three days of harassment, verbal abuse, and racial discrimination, she was unceremoniously let go without warning or provocation.
This wasn't just a job loss but a disappointment and a hurtful one. These sudden shifts in employment have left her in a vulnerable position. She is actively seeking employment, but the job situation is dire.
I am reaching out to you on her behalf. We all know Sala/Tonya to be hardworking and determined—loving without judgment and generous to a fault. She will always step up and help anyone in need. Now, it is our turn to show love to someone who gives it to us so freely, with an open, honest heart.
If you are able to help financially, we would be so grateful. But even more than that, we would appreciate any information about job opportunities or leads you might have. Your support, in any form, would mean the most to her as she continues searching for her place in this space.
Thank you! Asante Sana! Medase!
