Sal DePaola’s medical fund

*UPDATE* 4/17/25
Yesterday Sal was still a bit “out of it” from being sedated for so long, but he was alert and responsive. Unfortunately overnight his CO2 levels rose significantly. They tried putting him on the BiPAP again, but it wasn’t doing enough to expel the CO2 and he became unresponsive. The Doctor made the decision to intubate him again, so he is now sedated and back on the ventilator. We are praying for a miracle. Both his sons are still by his side. Please continue to life Sal up in prayer

*UPDATE* 4/14/25
First off, I’d like to thank everyone who has donated towards Sals medical bills. We are so appreciative of all the love and support. Today Is the day they are hoping to get him off the ventilator. They eased up on his sedation meds yesterday and he was more responsive and able to follow small commands. One of his lungs collapsed so he will still have a chest tube In, and he will still need to overcome this new case of pneumonia, but we are trying to stay hopeful. We will keep you all updated, and appreciate all the prayers.

Sal was admitted to the hospital in Idaho falls on 3/30 due to having difficulty breathing. Chest X-rays came back abnormal and they still are trying to pin point exactly what is causing his issues. On 4/9 the doctors made the decision to intubate him due to his bloodwork. As of now they are hoping to wean him off the ventilator in a few days, however he now has pneumonia that he acquired in the hospital. So we will keep you all posted on the status of that. Both of his sons, Dustin and Ryan, are with him. The cost of his care, and future rehabilitation is astronomical. Any amount donated will go to his medical care and related expenses. If you are able to contribute, Any amount is greatly appreciated. If you could please continue to pray for him, we would all appreciate it! Sal has a lot of life left to live and we can’t wait to hear his laugh again!
