Sakinah is a bright, caring, intelligent, hard-working, and generous person to all that know her. In fact, to know her is to love her. She is someone who never hesitates when it comes to doing what she can to help others where she is able to. So much so that she rarely asks for any help herself, because that is how selfless she is. Sakinah unfortunately had to temporarily leave school during her senior year at the University of Mary Washington due to personal reasons. Her initial intention was to only take a semester off and transfer to a university closer to her family. When she attempted to return back to school she was informed that she could not re-enroll or transfer without paying an outstanding balance. In order to transfer to another university she needs her transcripts. This has taken its toll on Sakinah because she is passionate about her education and she is less than 30 credits shy of obtaining her B.S. degree in Psychology. There's so much good she wants to be able to do and I believe that money should never determine how far we are able to succeed in this life. With that being said I am asking that if you can, please donate whatever you can. I absolutely mean it when I say that anything helps. Sakinah's mother and I want to show her that with family and community support anything is possible.
