Sakile is a growing creative practice rooted in music, art, and the connections that happen when we come together as community.
What began as a personal exploration of ceramic forms and sound has grown into a project with a much wider vision. Through making udu drums, hosting live music sessions, and bringing artists together, I’ve been exploring how sound and creative expression can create space for listening, connection, and a sense of presence.
At the heart of Sakile is a simple idea: we need spaces where we can slow down, be curious, create, and experience something together.
I want to continue building those spaces through live sessions, community gatherings, and collaborations that bring people into conversation with music and art. My hope is to create welcoming environments that offer a sense of sanctuary — moments to step away from the pace of everyday life, reconnect with ourselves, and feel part of something beyond ourselves.
Growing Through Community
Over the past several months, I’ve been developing Sakile with my own time, resources, and a lot of curiosity. From building instruments and exploring their sonic possibilities to organizing live sessions and collaborating with other artists, each part of the process has helped shape what this project can become.
Some of the most meaningful moments have come from simply bringing people into a space together — seeing how a sound, an instrument, or an unexpected musical exchange can open up new ways of relating to one another.
Now, I want to build on that momentum and make these experiences happen more often.
With your support, I can create more opportunities for community gatherings and live sessions, invite artists to share their work and experiment in new ways, and continue developing the research and creative practice behind Sakile. Just as importantly, I want to make sure the people who contribute their talent, time, and energy are supported and compensated for their work.
What Your Support Makes Possible
Your contribution will help turn these ideas into real experiences and give Sakile the resources to grow.
Community Gatherings & Live Sessions
Covering space rentals, equipment, and production costs to host intimate musical experiences and gatherings where people can listen, connect, and participate.
Artist Collaborations & Compensation
Creating opportunities for musicians, visual artists, and other creatives to work together, experiment, and share their practices while being fairly compensated for their contributions.
Creative Research & Development
Supporting ongoing exploration of sound, acoustics, ceramic instruments, and the cultural histories behind these practices. This research informs the work and opens up possibilities for future collaborations and programming.
Materials & New Work
Providing the clay, tools, studio resources, and equipment needed to continue making udu drums, developing sculptural instruments, and discovering new ways to bring sound and art together.
Expanding Community Programming
Developing new ways to bring music, art, and wellness into shared spaces through experiences that encourage reflection, creative exploration, and meaningful connection.
An Invitation to Be Part of It
I see Sakile as something that grows through the people who take part in it. Every gathering, collaboration, and exchange adds something new to the project, shaping its direction in ways I couldn't create alone.
My goal is to build something that can continue to evolve — a space where artists have room to explore, where people can experience music in a different way, and where gathering itself becomes a meaningful part of the work.
This fundraiser is an opportunity to bring more people into that process and to create a stronger foundation for what comes next.
If this vision resonates with you, I would be incredibly grateful for your support. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps make these gatherings possible, supports the artists involved, and allows me to keep developing the work. And if contributing isn't possible right now, sharing this fundraiser with others is just as appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Sakile, for supporting independent creative work, and for helping make more room for art, music, and community.
