Saint Ruggles Day fund for Pete

None of us want to be here on this page. Not one person. If you're here, it's because you loved or were touched by one of the kindest souls the world has known.

Pete's passing has gutted the community of his loved ones and friends. None of us will recover fully from losing him, and we are united in our pain. The pain of losing a friend, a brother, a teammate. We are all mourning deeply for our Pete.

If you knew Pete, he had recently started the idea of having "Saint Ruggles Day" as something of a code-word defacto holiday between friends for when we needed help from each other. St. Ruggles spells struggles. This is going to be St. Ruggles Year for a lot of us.

Our grief and deep sorrow however, can not compare to pain of losing a child. Few have had to endure such loss, and those that have can attest to the trials ahead of Kevin and Maureen.

It is on their behalf that I have set up this fund. Not just for the typical costs of memorial, but because they have so much more ahead. They have already had to fly to America last minute, during the American "Spring Break" which drives up airline prices. They will have many unexpected monetary costs associated with this already difficult time.

As Pete's friends and loved ones, let us now help his parents focus on the important things. Let us be there for Pete and take what we can off their plate.

Pete's service date has not been decided as of this writing, but details will be forthcoming as soon as we have them.
