Sailing for Breast Cancer

Hi! We are the Pink Puffins and we are raising money for two charities researching and supporting those with breast cancer.

We will be racing a 24 ft Achilles yacht in around 26 races this year with an all female team. What began as a fun idea has developed into painting a boat bright pink and getting the most fabulous group of women together.

Money from entry fee donations from team members, sponsorship and supporting events will be collected on this GoFundMe and split between Breast Cancer Now and MetupUK. 

One of my best friends, Connie Johncock was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and lived with the disease for ten years. She was a huge part of so many peoples lives- and losing her was devastating to so many. She is greatly missed. She was a trustee for MetupUK, a charity leading the way in ensuring women are able to get the care they need.

My Mum Andrea was diagnosed in 2022. Im so grateful her treatment means she is well and with us.

Most of us know someone who has had breast cancer. As an all female crew on a bright pink boat we want to have fun and raise money and awareness of this awful disease.

We won’t stop until it is downgraded from an incurable disease to a chronic illness. We want people with MBC to gain access to the very best medicines to help them live longer & improve quality of life. We ultimately work towards the day when MBC will be cured.
