Hi, I'm Emma. In 2025, I’ll be setting sail on one of the toughest challenges on Earth, the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. Over 40,000 nautical miles, six continents, and almost a year at sea. But this journey is about so much more than the miles.
Last year, after a long and difficult journey with my mental health, I gained clarity: life is too short not to live deliberately and adventurously. I want to show others facing similar challenges that our struggles don't define us, and that you can still take on hard, wonderful, life-changing things.
I’ve built my life from the ground up, working hard to move from financial insecurity to running my own successful business. I’m no stranger to determination, grit, and going after the impossible.
That’s why I chose the Clipper Race. It’s not only a huge personal challenge, it’s also a platform to raise funds for UNICEF, a cause I deeply care about. UNICEF works in over 190 countries to protect children’s rights, respond to emergencies, and give every child the chance of a safe and healthy future.
I originally self-funded to complete Leg 6, the infamous North Pacific crossing: a brutal and remote stretch of ocean. After completing four levels of intense Clipper training (with no prior sailing experience), my Race Skipper invited me to join the crew for the full circumnavigation. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime, but it also means finding funds for additional race fees and insurance.
I’m looking for support from anyone — individuals or businesses — who wants to be part of this journey. Your support will help me represent the UK, sail for UNICEF, and inspire others by showing what’s possible after a mental health diagnosis.
For businesses: there are opportunities to align this voyage with your social impact goals — including bespoke content, branded materials, and access to exclusive in-port activities to share with your own audiences.
Every contribution, big or small, gets me one step closer to the start line. If you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean the world.
Let’s show what’s possible when we push our limits — for ourselves, for each other, and for children around the world.
