Kate Shaner and Katie Love both grew up racing high performance skiffs. They share a common love for the ocean and need for speed. Together, they form an American 49er FX team currently training for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The 49er FX is a fast high performance sailboat crewed by two women. It is a demanding and exciting platform sailed by the best female sailors in the world.
The team is purchasing a new boat for racing at the Olympic Trials in 2019/2020. This boat will allow them to compete with the best in the world. Please consider helping make their dreams a reality.
