Adam Terry for Sailability Kinsale
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mark and I am raising funds for Sailability Kinsale. My son Adam who is 11 years old is a wheelchair user and has had 23 surgeries to date. Last year he went through a major scoliosis surgery and thankfully one year later life for him has improved dramatically.
Earlier this year Adam joined Sailability Kinsale and immediately fell in love with sailing. Sailing is one of the very few sports in which sailors with a disability can participate on equal terms. Adam for the first time ever felt like he was in control and part of a club.
Sailability Kinsale are the Munster team for Sailability in Ireland, - a not for profit organisation which promotes sailing for people with different abilities. This group has changed Adams and our lives.
Every Sataurday Adam is on the water either sailing in HANSA 303 (the Hansa 303 is 3.3m long, has two sails and potential for two adults- a participant and instructor or trained parent and child to sail) or if no wind out in the power boats.
What this group does for kids with different abilities is amazing!
Please help me to fundraise for this amazing group.
Thanks,
The Terry Family
