Sail the Pacific to highlight the problem of ocean plastics!

Beth and I (Leon) have the once in a lifetime opportunity to sail 3000 Miles from Honolulu to Vancouver Island across the Pacific Ocean on June 12th 2024. We are two 19 year old university students, studying Graphic Design at Falmouth. We are desperate to take up this opportunity despite the crippling costs of our education. Neither of us have ever sailed before but intend to overcome this with a sense of adventure and some expert assistance from the patrons of Waikiki yacht club who are organising the trip. We intend to use the crossing to document the issues with ocean plastics within the North Pacific and help raise awareness of this environmental problem.
