Saige's Journey: From Hampton to Spelman

Hello! My name is Saige Holden. I am a sophomore at Bethel High School (BHS), who is committed to academic excellence. I am second in the class of 2027, maintaining straight A’s. I am also committed to school and community participation, through my many clubs.

In school, I am an Academy Ambassador for the Academy of Law and Public Safety (ALPS) at BHS. I am also on the ALPS Advisory Board, where I am able to advocate for the sophomore class and collaborate with teachers, principals, and community partners to improve the Academy. Outside of school, I am the Vice-Chair of the Hampton Youth Commission and the Vice President of the Hampton 4-H Teen Club. My commitment to my studies and my community has earned me the award of Top 20 people under 20 years old from the Hampton Roads Workforce Council.

In the future, I am looking to study Political Science at Spelman College to prepare for my career in law and legal studies. As a first step toward this goal, I applied and was accepted to attend Spelman’s College Prep Institute this summer.
