Said Noor’s family fundraiser

Said’s service to the United States is only surpassed by his dedication to his family. Said grew up in Khost, Afghanistan where at a young age became an interpreter for my platoon and others throughout Operation enduring freedom. Said was vital in our mission overseas and quickly became a friend to all of us. He was able to obtain a special Visa and moved to Texas in 2014 where he soon joined the United States Army and again went back to Afghanistan, only this time as a soldier. Said’s work unfortunately placed his family in danger who were still back in Khost, which forced them to move to Kabul for their own safety after being targeted numerous times by the Taliban. With the recent events that unfolded, his family was at even greater risk than before. Said worked tirelessly to get his family out of Afghanistan. With persistence and a little luck, they were very recently able to escape to Kuwait and will soon be in the United States to be reunited with Said. They left everything behind except the clothes on their backs and will need some money to begin their new life. Anything will help and will go directly to Said’s family.
