Born in Morocco, our camp is rooted in the rhythms of the desert, in Moroccan hospitality, and in the nomadic spirit that has moved people for centuries.
Morocco is a tree whose roots go deep into Africa yet breathes through its leaves into the world.
We believe in the power of its culture - in its beauty, authenticity, and art - to inspire, connect, and transform.
This year, we return to the playa for our second Burn, carrying with us the warmth of shared meals, the pulse of gnaoua rhythms, and the invitation to gather as a global family.
Why We’re Asking for Help for the First Time
We’ve always been an independent, self-sustained camp at Burning Man, fueled by creativity, community, and generosity. Until now, we’ve never asked for outside funding - but this year, unexpected costs have hit us hard, and we need our extended family’s help to make our vision possible.
Why We Need $30,000
This boost will allow us to:
Bring incredible artists from Morocco
- Cover flights & expenses for 3 Moroccan artists, including 2 Gnawa masters (traditional musicians) who will share their ancestral music on the playa.
- One artist has just received his visa - now we need to ensure he can join us.
- Includes Burning Man tickets for all artists.
- Total artist travel & participation costs (incl. flights, visa, food, transport): ~$10,000.
Create a transformative Ice Bath Experience
- Professional ice bath facilitator, buckets and ice to run daily sessions.
- Designed for physical reset, emotional release, and deep connection.
- Approximate cost: ~$3,000.
Support our new camp infrastructure
- Fuel and power costs have surged 20% with inflation.
- After a year off, heavy rains left significant damage to our structures - many still need repair.
- Infrastructure recovery and setup cost: ~$15,000.
Fund our dream Elixir Bar
- Serving ceremonial cacao sourced from Mexico, open daily to our campmates.

Why This Matters
Our camp is more than a space — it’s a living, breathing art piece. We bring musicians, healers, performers, and creators together, and we share our food, drinks, and magic freely with our neighbors. Every artist who comes to Saharaå receives full support so they can give their gift without financial burden.
Far too often, Moroccan aesthetics are borrowed without honoring their roots. Our mission is to give back the Moroccan culture to those who rightfully belong to it - beginning with its nomadic traditions - and to share it in a way that is authentic, respectful, and alive.
This year, with inflation, increased fuel prices, and unexpected expenses, we’re at risk of not being able to cover it all. Your contribution will directly help keep our music alive, our bar open, and our art thriving.
