Sage's Surgery: A Student's Plea for Help

Hi there, hooman friends. My name is Sage
I may just be a cat to some, but to my hooman, Khamila, I’m family. I curl up next to her during late-night study sessions, purr when she’s stressed, and gently paw her face when she forgets to take a break (or my dinner is late, let’s be honest). I’ve been her emotional support through a lot, and now I need her—and maybe you—to help me through something scary.
There’s a tumor growing right under my jaw. The vet says it needs to be removed soon so it doesn’t get worse. It’s starting to hurt when I eat and clean myself, and some days I just want to lay down and not move. I’m trying to be strong—I’m still meowing at birds from the window and curling up in warm laundry—but I don’t feel like the playful, purring Sage I used to be.
The surgery to remove the tumor is expensive. My hooman, Khamila, is a full-time student doing her best just to keep up with bills and life. She’s been trying so hard to make this happen for me, but the cost is more than we can manage alone. She loves me so much, and I know she’s worried—no one gives forehead kisses like her.
We’re asking for a little help; whether it’s $5 or even just sharing our story—to cover the cost of my surgery and help me live a pain-free, healthy life. Every bit helps, and every share means more people get to hear about me—Sage, the strong, sweet, slightly dramatic cat who’s not done being here.
Thank you for reading. And thank you for helping me heal.
Purrs and soft meows,
Sage (and my bestie, Khamila)
