Support for the Sager Family
Our dear friend, David, a local husband and father, was in a mountain biking accident on Thursday evening. He was taken to Mission Hospital and immediately required a full blood transfusion. His spleen was removed, he has suffered 3 broken ribs and a collapsed lung, resulting in ventilator support through Sunday. As of today, Saturday, April 10, doctors are awaiting MRI results, have monitored for infections, and are moving forward with closing the surgery site. David is expected to remain in the hospital for the week and will require at least five weeks of recovery. Rio, his wife has asked for prayer, while friends and community members have asked how they can support. If you are able, please consider donating towards out of pocket emergency medical fees, due to insurance limitations.
We are eager to see David get well and get back to surfing Uppers.
