Sage the Sato needs your help!

Hi, I'm Noell, and I'm setting up this fundraiser for my friends Katharine and David Altman and their son Eli.

The Altman Family got their puppy Sage a little over a month ago from a rescue and has already filled their house with so much love and vibrant puppy energy. This past week Sage got very sick and received care from her primary vet. The veterinarian then had her moved to an emergency veterinarian group for further care and evaluation. It became clear that Sage was having problems with her kidneys and liver so she was transferred to Tufts ICU. Sage will need intensive care for at least 3 days. The doctors are still unsure what caused this, she might have Leptospirosis or Toxicosis, both diagnoses can be deadly for dogs without treatment. The bill for the vet and emergency vet was $3,300. The ICU needed a starting deposit of $5,000. Should Sage need Hemodialysis it will cost $10-$15K. I am creating this GoFund Me to help mitigate the costs.

As many people know, pet vet costs can be astronomically high, especially when needing more extended hospital stays and treatments.

All donations will go towards Sage's vet bills, and anything left over will go to the rescue shelter where the Altmans got their puppy. The names of the rescue organizations are BnR's Rock and Rescue in North Reading, MA and OBRA in Puerto Rico.
