Sage Runningfox Cornea Surgery

Donation protected
My son, Sage Earle Runningfox, was diagnosed with a rare eye disease called, Keratoconus, which causes blindness. It is hereditary and usually develops as a teenager and Sage is 15, turning 16 in May 2017. Cornea Collegan Crosslinking is a treatment that is still in a FDA study stage so insurance doesn't cover it. Everywhere else in the world has had this option for 10 years but the USA only approved it in April of 2016.

I paid out of pocket for the first eye surgery on the left eye and it has been successful to date. However, the right eye needs to be done too. The treatment only prevents further blindness by stopping the progression however Sage's vision improved from 20/200 to 20/60, which is an added bonus.

I appreciate any amount anyone would be willing to donate from the bottom of my heart!

Humbly and with sincerest gratitude,

Ingrid C. Earle
