Support Jessica's Battle Against Breast Cancer

Hello Family and Friends,

My friend Jessica, who I have known since we were in kindergarten and became the best of friends in second grade, came to me in February of this year to let me know she was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer. As you can imagine it was a shock. My sister, my Thelma to my Louise, just let me know she has Cancer. At that moment all of our childhood memories started to pop into my mind and all I wanted to do was breakdown and cry but I knew I had to hold it in and be strong for her and her kids. So I immediately said "its ok you can beat this!". Jessica is a strong Woman, raising 4 children on her own, went to college and got her Master's degree, and through it all she was resilient, and still is. SHE'S A CHINGONA. I couldn't be more proud of her, my friend, my sister.

This past Monday Jessica had her port put in to get her ready for Chemo. On Monday 4/28 she will start her first round of a strong Chemo that is 4 cycles once every 2 weeks. Then after that first round, she'll start the second round which is 12 weeks of another chemo therapy. If all goes well then she'll have a Mastectomy and finish with radiation. On top of all this she has to have an eye surgery (another health issue) during her chemo treatment.

Jessica will have to go on disability and expecting to be out on medical leave till the end of this year and will need financial assistance during this time. Her family and I are asking for your help to make sure she can focus on her health and not worry about the financial burden. The financial assistance will go towards, co-pays, medical bills (some are already starting to come in), travel to appointments (she is not close to the medical center or hospital), potential accommodation costs while she is away from home, and any other related expenses.
