Hi, my name is Saf, I go by he/they and I am non-binary.

First, I want to say thank you for even clicking on this link, any and all support is really appreciated. I have dealt with dysphoria for years, without even realising what it was till recently. For years I was in denial of my gender identity out of fear, as I’m sure a lot of trans folk can understand. Since coming to terms with my gender identity, my dysphoria has only gotten worse. Its gotten to the point now that it effects every part of my daily life, even more so than it did before, so I have decided to take matters into my own hands and begin my transition.

I have been on the waiting list for the NHS for almost a year and a half now and waiting to even get an initial appointment seems an impossible wait for my mental health.

I am currently in full-time education whilst also working to financially support myself. I moved out of my home when I was 18 and have been financially independent ever since. Paired with my dysphoria, its just too much for me.

With any money that is raised through this, I intend to start testosterone privately and hopefully get top surgery in the future. Being able to start testosterone would help with my gender dysphoria so so so much. Being recognised for who I am is all I can wish for.

I completely understand that times are really tough right now and I don’t expect everyone to be able to donate so any funds that can be spared would mean the world to me. Even sharing this would help so much!
