Who we are - Saffyre Sanctuary is Los Angeles based horse rescue and rehabilitation program that cares for horses who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected. By allowing them to rediscover their true nature, we provide every opportunity for them to experience the possibility of enjoying a second career, or offer them a well deserved retirement due to soundness issues, age, or owner hardships.
Saffyre Sanctaury is a 100% volunteer funded and operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Without your support, we would not exist!
We have been presented with a great opportunity:
Saffyre has until December 22nd to reach our fundraising goal in order to receive
a generous match gift of $10,000! If we do not meet our goal, we can't get our match gift, so please donate! Any dollar amount is sincerely appreciated and will go directly to supporting the horses.
Donations will be used to continue Saffyre Sanctuary's services of rehabilitation, re-homing, foster care and retirement for horses in need. Your donations also provide nutritious feed, farrier care, dental care, chiropracture and acupuncture, boarding and other necessary supplies to continue to provide rehabilitation and recovery.
In addition to Saffyre's work with horses, we also offer therapeutic and educational programs for children, adults, special needs individuals and groups and veterans. Over our seven years of operation, Saffyre has become a sanctuary for both horses and people, providing a safe place to reconnect with nature and our loving equine companions.
Below are some of our resident rescues who were saved from the brink of tragedy - all of whom are now thriving with a new, playful lease on life! All they needed was some love, support and proper nutrition to rediscover their natural, joyful state.
