Safframen Reboot!

We are Safframen, Portland's ONLY fully plant-based ramen shop.

This October, little over a year and a half after opening, we were forced to shut down our food cart and go on hiatus. A lot of factors went into our decision to close the Safframen cart - some within our control, some outside of it. Either way, it was a wild ride.

In our first outing as a food cart, we managed to cultivate a customer base of some truly amazing people (you know who you are!). Our regulars are the heart and soul of our business. In spite of the discouraging ups and downs of owning a food cart, the love people have expressed for our Konkotsu and our Onigiri are what animates our desire for this revival.

At the time of writing, our business is currently back where it started - that is to say, as a weekly pop-up. We loving going out and doing our Safframen thing once per week, but ever since closing we've been trying to puzzle out exactly how to bring things back in a full-time capacity.

This is where you come in. The goal of this fundraiser is to raise money to afford a brand new spot for your us, your favorite vegan ramen friends. Previously we were renting both our cart AND the space to put the cart. That combination of rents ended up proving quite unsustainable. If we are able to meet our fundraising goal, we will be able to afford purchasing our own food cart.
