Safety Relocation for Victim of a Violent Crime

My name is Ana. I have been residing in the Dimond District of Oakland going on 5 years. I thought I would call this place home forever but now it is a living hell for me as my PTSD continually plays the traumatic experience that happened right in front of my apartment. I am trying to gather funds to move to a new unit in a different city that is much safer and has a better police response time and better police department. My family and myself are victims of an attempted carjacking via gun point and were robbed on 6/5/2023. I have lost out on a week of work due to my PTSD and trying to do what I can to get the police documents and apply for programs to help me get out of here. The crime has been rampant out here and at this point I don’t think it will ever get better. Unfortunately OPD and Alameda county are beyond slow and inefficient so I am asking for some help so that I may move away from this deadly, toxic environment and hopefully start my journey to heal and regain some sanity.
