Safety on 1st: Little League AED

For 60 years, Warrendale Little League , in Waltham, MA, has provided kids in our community the opportunity to develop as athletes and as community members.  In addition to providing the fundamentals of baseball and sportsmanship, it is our goal to keep all of our players, volunteer coaches, and fans safe.

Recently, one of our Minor League players suffered an accident for which he required resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation.  We recognize this as a call to be prepared to take similar action as needed.

This campaign is for funds to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and to provide Red Cross Basic Life Support (CPR) training for any interested parents and coaches in our League.  The cost of an AED is approximately $1000 and we will ensure that the one that we purchase is compatible with devices used in the city of Waltham.  The cost of CPR training for 20 people is $200.  Any additional funds will be used to fund similar programs for other youth sports facilities in Waltham and surrounding communities.

Thank you for your consideration.
