Our Story: CUTSAFE
Hello, my name is Josh Butler, and I am the CEO and founder of CUTSAFE. My journey began in Russia, where I was born, and in 2006 I was adopted and brought to the United States, where I was given a second chance at life. This experience not only provided me with a second chance at life but also shaped my perspective on safety and well-being. It ignited a passion in me to create safer environments for others.
As I ventured into the world of innovation, I discovered a startling statistic: every year, there are approximately 350,000 kitchen knife injuries in the U.S. That’s more than double the injuries sustained in construction, one of America’s most hazardous professions. This realization struck me deeply. I envisioned kitchens as spaces for love, laughter, and bonding with family—not as places with danger lurking around every corner.
This vision led to the creation of our revolutionary kitchen knife at CUTSAFE. Our invention is patented and CUTSAFE is a registered trademark. Our knife features an automatic cover for the blade, designed to enhance safety without sacrificing usability. With just two simple steps, users can pull back the cover while cutting and, when set down, the cover automatically shields the blade. It’s held securely in place by strong neodymium magnets, minimizing the risk of accidental openings.
