Thank you so much for being a part of the EdenGate family. We have loved serving you as a member of a community of nearly 1,000 people who have joined us on our tours and mission trips. - We are grateful for your support of the vision of EdenGate: Redeeming Travel for the Great Commission. 

RETHINK TRAVEL

EdenGate was established in 2014 with the desire to utilise the travel industry to facilitate and support church planting; primarily in Ireland but also in Europe and beyond.  Every EdenGate tour is an invitation to do now what believers will spend eternity doing after the resurrection - Explore-Marvel-Share; not just the many wonders of creation, cultures and peoples, but the endless exploration, marvelling and sharing of God’s good character and grace… forever! We hope to help people articulate travel as an act of worship.

We are a mission-driven business, inviting everyone to become an ambassador for developing a Christ-centred theology of travel. We remind people that ‘travel’ is a good gift that comes from God’s hand, and that when done with this foundation, will drive us to worship! EdenGate calls us to nurture a passion for God’s glory. To see now what will be a reality then… “the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea”. (Isaiah 11:9). God’s glory is as wide as the world! 


WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Prior to Covid19 we, as a small family-run travel company, invested time and resources into establishing the Irish Gospel Partnership (IGP) and a new charity called Patrons International. The former is a cross-denominational, collaborative effort to reach the entire island of Ireland for Christ, through church-planting. The latter was set up to engage the Christian business community in order to more effectively support church planting across Europe. We had hoped that 2020 would be a year of expanding the mission and work beyond Ireland and into Europe. We had made preparations and investments to further utilise the flow of tours through EdenGate in order to replicate and scale our Redeeming Travel efforts into Scotland, Italy, Ukraine, Norway and Israel. However, as a result of COVID 19, travel for 2020 has stopped, seriously hindering our ability to move forward. 

With no cash-flow for the duration of this crisis and into the travel industries’ recovery period, we are reaching out to you, our former customers and fellow faith-travellers to ask for your help. We wanted to make you aware of our need, ask you to pray, and invite you to consider partnering with us. Your giving will go directly towards operational expenses to safeguard EdenGate during 2020. We very much want to continue to serve the worldwide church by redeeming travel for many years to come. Any surplus funds will be allocated to church planting efforts that we currently support through Patrons International. 

Please pray with us and our planters on the ground. And do consider giving to help safeguard EdenGate's unique positioning to serve the church.

We’ll leave you with the words of a beloved hero so much associated with Ireland.

“I cannot keep silent, nor would it be proper, so many favours and graces has the Lord deigned to bestow on me in the land of my captivity. For after chastisement from God, and recognising Him, our way to repay Him is to exalt Him and confess His wonders before every nation under heaven”.
