Safe Classrooms for Chugach Optional Elementary

Chugach Families, Staff and Friends,

At Chugach Optional Elementary, we strive to create the best learning environment for our children. With ASD's decision to begin in-person schooling on November 16th,  we have an urgent need for creating a SAFE space for our community. We are looking for funds to support safety measures in addition to what is being provided to us by the district.

Chugach is working hard to put together a parent led design team to implement many additional safety procedures. While ASD has worked hard to provide the basics, we as a community have additional needs such as:
    • Additional classroom partitions of plexiglass and wood (designed and built by our parents!)
    • Personal safety partitions
    • Hand sanitizing kiosks or stations outside of each classroom
    • Portable air purifiers with HEPA filters 
    • Individual supplies for students

We hope to achieve our goals to build, create and install by November 16th. Your donation will help us secure funds immediately to be able to have these safety measures in place before we welcome children back. Thank you to everyone for supporting our amazing community.
