Lucy is doing very well after her kidney transplant — we’re so grateful for the care she’s received and for the support we’ve already had. We’ve run into one unexpected challenge: for the next few months Lucy must travel to Mexico City twice a week for follow-up appointments. Because her immune system is still extremely vulnerable, staying in hotels or using shared transportation isn’t a safe option right now. That means we need private rides for each visit.

Each round trip is about 3 hours and costs approximately $500. Our goal for this fundraiser is $4, 000, which will cover roughly four essential trips (about 4 weeks of appointments). These trips are critical to ensuring Lucy’s health and preventing complications during the early recovery period.
