After two years of building, our training center is complete, and we have 62 students signed up already. The school supplies are now purchased and the students are lined up. We are offering classes morning, afternoon and evening.
One of the biggest issues that our students are facing is safe transportation in the surrounding communities.
So, we are asking for your help with their transportation and getting our students back and forth to classes SAFELY.
The good majority of people do not own cars in Bluefields, Nicaragua, and the cost of cab fare (especially to multiple class sessions) is not affordable for our students. In addition to the cost, there is a real concern for their safety. Most live miles away from our Training Center and the cabs do not run in the evening, requiring students to walk home through rough neighborhoods known for high risk of violence, drugs, gang activity, etc. on a daily basis.
We have been searching for over a year now to try and find a solution to this problem and have located a 24 passenger bus for sale. Although common here in the states, this is not something easy to find in Nicaragua. We have inspected the bus thoroughly and it is a great opportunity to solve this safety concern for our students.
It is a 2006 Ford E450 Diesel 24 passenger School Bus. Our goal of $10,985.00 includes:
- The purchase of the bus
- Registration
- 12 months of Insurance
- Fuel
- Full time driver to transport the students each day
In addition to safe transportation for our students, this bus will serve a secondary purpose. Mosaic Training Center will use this bus to make a monthly run to Managua (approx. 6-7 hours drive across the country) to continue to purchase the necessary monthly school supplies in bulk amounts. This will allow us to grow our Training Center with each semester and create a larger positive change for the people of Bluefields.

Located in the heart of Bluefields on one of the main streets, Mosaic International Training Center classes are launching February 2019 and we are excited to begin classes Feb 18th!
Our training center will teach Successful Life Skills, Leadership and Management, Proper English and Spanish, Finance and Business all based through biblical and theological curriculum.
We are reaching a large population in Bluefields which holds approximately 80,000 people, and that is not even including the surrounding communities. Bluefields is the largest town on Nicaragua’s Caribbean coast and is the poorest region of a very poor country where some of the most basic necessities are difficult to come by.
Needless to say, we are asking for all of your help and every dollar amount counts!
