Safe Transport Needed for Claire's Family

I am a 47 year old mom of 4, and a grandma of 2.

Recently the transmission went out on my car, and as the only vehicle for my family, the kids and I are desperate to get a used car.

We live in a not so great neighborhood, all 3 of my kids at home go to school out of district, and my Autistic daughter goes to a school for students with autism. I absolutely HAVE to have a car to get to and from her school or if she has a serious meltdown and needs to be picked up.

My other daughter goes to school out of district, as Inkster has no public schools or bus transportation, and I need to drop her off and pick her up as well. Sadly, there are a lot of stray dogs in our neighborhood, and recently there was a 7 year old girl mauled on our street, so walking is not safe or an option at all.

I am in a desperate situation, and asking for help from friends and family to get us a used car. Any amount of donation is SO appreciated. If you can’t afford to donate (as I know so many are on hard financial times right now) sharing this fundraiser is a great way to help as well.

Clair is an amazing person who has always cared for people around her. She goes above and beyond to not only support and care for her family and friends, but also people she doesn’t even know.

Just last week, Claire posted in local community groups to try to help a disabled man from a local senior center. His necessary wheelchair was completely broken, and he mostly scooted himself around. He fell out of the chair in the street and Claire was able to get some local folks to help pick him up and get him out of the street.

I know this because Claire and I live in the same area, and I see her posts. She continued to help this man by asking if anyone had a wheelchair or connections to get one. Claire was able to get that man a working wheelchair for free that very night.

This story is absolutely the norm for Claire. She’s given from her huge heart so many times, hopefully as family and friends will be able to return the favor this time.
