Children Deserve Safe Education

Every child has the right to learn in a safe environment — free from fear, violence, and harm.

In Myanmar, over 6,000 schools and more than 900,000 students are in conflict-affected areas. Tragically, the military junta has deliberately targeted schools and hospitals. Over the past four years, aerial bombings and airstrikes have damaged more than 300 schools. These attacks have injured and killed countless civilians, including students and teachers, and shattered communities.

But there is hope.

I stand with the Brighter Future Foundation, an organization working to build safer schools in these conflict zones. In collaboration with local communities and partner organizations, they’re providing secure spaces where children and teachers can learn and grow, even in the face of danger.
