We are reaching out today on behalf of a beautiful and hard-working young family — Leo, Paola, and their sweet baby Rio — who need your help to return safely to Colombia.

Leo and Paola began their journey to the United States years ago, full of hope and determination to build a better future. Through sacrifice, dedication, and hard work, they created a safe and loving home for their family here. They’ve contributed to their community, worked tirelessly, and have always done their best to live with dignity and integrity.

Unfortunately, as immigrants without legal status, the challenges have become overwhelming. With immigration laws tightening, they now live in daily fear. They can no longer renew their driver’s licenses, board a plane, or even drive without the constant risk of being detained — or worse, being separated from their baby boy, Rio.

After much thought, heartbreak, and consideration for their son’s safety and well-being, Leo and Paola have made the incredibly difficult decision to return to Colombia. They are hoping to begin a new chapter, where they can raise their son in peace, without fear, and surrounded by family.

But leaving is not easy — it involves plane tickets, shipping their belongings, and finding a way to start over from scratch in Colombia. That’s where we are asking for your help.

Hoy queremos pedir su ayuda para una hermosa familia que está pasando por un momento muy difícil. Leo, Paola y su pequeño hijo Rio necesitan apoyo para regresar a Colombia de forma segura y empezar una nueva etapa en sus vidas.

Leo y Paola comenzaron su camino en Estados Unidos hace algunos años, llenos de esperanza y con el deseo de construir un mejor futuro para su familia. Han trabajado muy duro, siempre con esfuerzo y dignidad, y lograron formar un hogar seguro y lleno de amor.

Sin embargo, como inmigrantes sin estatus legal, su situación se ha vuelto insostenible. Las leyes migratorias cada vez más estrictas les impiden renovar sus licencias de conducir, viajar en avión sin temor a ser detenidos o vivir tranquilos sin el miedo constante de ser separados de su bebé.

Por eso, después de mucha reflexión y con el corazón en la mano, han tomado la difícil decisión de regresar a Colombia para proteger a su hijo y asegurarle una vida más estable y segura.

Pero empezar de nuevo no es fácil. Necesitan cubrir los costos de los pasajes, llevar sus pertenencias básicas y sostenerse mientras logran estabilizarse nuevamente en su país. Es por eso que hoy les pedimos su apoyo.
