Safe passage for Lama and her family: Fundraising for Lama's Family Escape Gaza's Warzone
Hello, my name is Mosab and I'm fundraising for my family in Gaza. They used to live in Gaza City but were forced to evacuate to the south (Rafah) because of the bombing.
They need your help to be evacuated to a safer place and to join their family in Egypt.
Current situation,
Lama and her family are currently living in a tent in undignified conditions since their house and the entire neighbourhood were destroyed at the beginning of the war.
They have been trying to leave the area since the beginning of the war, unfortunately without success so far. Unfortunately, leaving the Gaza Strip involves large sums of money. Having lost all their possessions with the loss of their house, they are unable to bear these large sums financially on their own.
I tried to support my family myself, but I couldn't manage these sums on my own.
How are the funds being used? Procedure for leaving the warzone :
In order to leave the Gaza Strip via the Rafah border crossing to Egypt, they have to register through an Egyptian travel agency called Hala so that their names appear on the lists of those authorised to leave. Without this, it is not possible to leave the country. The registration fees can be up to 3000 USD per person.
After the evacuation, any remaining funds will be used to support the family with living costs and their basic needs for the first months after their arrival.
In this article you will find more information about the current situation regarding travelling across the border:

If we reach our destination, the money will be paid directly to the Hala company to evacuate them from Rafah and bring them to Egypt. If we don't reach our goal, the money raised will still be sent to them to buy humanitarian aid or to help them rebuild their homes in the event of a ceasefire.
Meet Lama:
A smart and kind girl from the north of Gaza with big dreams. Even though she's young, she loves school and helping her community. When she was 10, she got a special title for supporting Palestinian in (ICSPR) . Now, we're here to support Lama and her dreams for a better future in Gaza.
Meet Lama Family:
Lama has a big family of Seven, and she likes making funny videos, sharing her dream of becoming a doctor.
Lama's family is going through a lot. Now, they live in a tent in Rafah, dealing with cold nights, rain leaks, and not having enough supplies. Lama, family have been struggling for 132 days now.
Call to action:
The situation in Gaza is getting worse every day and there is no safe place there.
Any help is appreciated so I can protect my family from this brutal war. Move them to a safer place, and provide them with the basic life needs.
Thank you all for your donations.
