DELILAH AND SUKI URGENTLY NEED YOUR GENEROUSITY AND HELP!
Ollies Pack Rescue and Transport (a 501c3 animal rescue) rescued Suki and Delilah days before their time was up. They were listed for euthanization at the shelter. Suki is a healthy, spayed 4 year old Catahoula/pit mix, smart and full of energy. Delilah is a healthy, spayed 3 year old Staffie, a little timid, extremely sweet and puppyish. They are not a bonded pair, just happened to be at the same place at the same time.
Ollies Pack saved their lives, got them both into a board and train with a master trainer. They spent three months with her, learning to get along with other dogs, canine good behavior, etc. Now they are ready for foster and adoption. Here is the very sad problem-people have a bad perception of pits. They see that breed on a listing and they scroll on by. Ollies spent every cent of the pledge money and grant money and the rescue's savings getting these girls trained and they need a place to go until they get a foster and/or forever home.
Winter nights in Southern California can be surprisingly cold and damp. It's 30 degrees at night and these are not dogs with fur. They need to be inside. Indoor boarding where they aren't stuck in small kennels 20 hours a day are as expensive as the trainer. Ollies is networking both dogs, trying to find them good homes, even if they are temporary homes but so far no luck. Ollies needs your help to fund a few months of a good, safe, warm indoor place for each dog, until a foster or adopter is found.
Most preferable would be that they stay at the trainer's place where they know the routine, are treated really well, have consistent rules and that would reinforce what they've learned. Second would be an indoor boarding facility where there is supervised play space so they get out of the kennels (cages) for more than a couple hours a day. Please help. Ollies is tapped out and really want the best for each of these girls. It would be terrible to lose all the progress they've made. They deserve a chance at a good life. Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated. They are very good girls. Your generousity will make a huge difference! Thank you.
