For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Ryley, a nonbinary and queer, disabled, intersectional activist and advocate. The stripey cat is Meggie (she has a name sake) and she is 17. The Void cat is Nova Binx and she is 5.

This is not something I want to post— not something I wanted to share as I didn’t want to burden people with this information- but I have recently found myself unhoused (homeless). I’m still in the job search I have been in for probably a year or so at this point! It’s so hard being disabled how one requirement that can’t be changed fucks me over. This is to say with benefits getting messed up, I don’t have income right now.

I don’t have options beyond the two week limit per her apt rules where I was in my mom’s tiny studio apt that isn’t even big enough for her, where my disabled body dealing with chronic pain has been sleeping on a recliner. The few people in my life just can’t offer space for the cats and me— that isn’t their fault.

As of Jan 13, I was able to find a decently priced monthly priced long-term AirBNB until March 1. However, this, of course cut majorly into my funds. I don’t know what comes after March 1, but either way, I need to support and AirBNB or the extra start for a new apartment.

I hate to ask and I hate to even post this, but I genuinely don’t know what else to do.
