I’m recovering from a pulmonary embolism, and my doctors have been clear: healing requires clean air, low stress, and stable housing. Right now I don’t have that.
My current place has mold and poor air quality, and it’s actively making my breathing worse. Staying here isn’t uncomfortable, it’s unsafe. I’m trying to recover from a serious medical event while living in an environment that aggravates the exact thing I’m fighting to heal.
This illness also paused my career momentum while I focused on survival and medical care. We can cover rent month-to-month, but we don’t have the upfront cash to move after the medical disruption. The biggest obstacle is the one-time cost: deposits and move-in expenses.
What I’m raising funds for (short-term help, not ongoing support):
• First month’s rent + security deposit
• Any required last month’s rent
• Moving costs (truck, supplies, basic moving help if needed)
• Basic setup essentials for a clean, stable home
• A small buffer so I can stabilize during recovery and return to work safely
Getting into safe housing directly supports my recovery. It means better breathing, better sleep, lower stress, and a faster return to normal life and work. This is the bridge between “I’m surviving” and “I’m stable again.”
If you can donate, thank you. If you can’t, sharing this still helps more than you think
