Safe Home for a Brave Survivor's Family
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We’re reaching out with hopeful hearts to ask for your support in helping a courageous woman take the next step toward healing, stability, and safety—for herself and her family.
A Journey of Strength and Survival:
Almost 5 years ago, she bravely escaped a life of human trafficking and began the long, difficult road to recovery. Like so many survivors, her trauma was compounded by addiction, but through unwavering faith, fierce determination, and an incredible support system, she has transformed her life. Soon she will proudly celebrate five years of sobriety. Her journey is nothing short of inspiring, and she now dedicates her life to supporting others who are walking similar paths to freedom. She continually puts others first despite what she is enduring and will always lend a helping hand to assist law enforcement, survivors, or advocates. She is a true inspiration, and it is an honor to call her a partner in ministry.
The Urgent Need:
Right now, she and her family are living in an aging mobile home that is no longer safe. The home has severe issues including black mold and collapsing floors. It does not have central heat or air, and the rising utility costs have become overwhelming. These conditions are not only unsafe but are threatening their health and well-being. She and her family are dealing with ongoing health issues as the result of these unsafe conditions.
Here’s How We Can Help:
We are working with Clayton Homes in Raleigh to raise funds to help purchase a new manufactured home that is safe, clean, and stable where she and her family can truly begin to heal and thrive. Though she and her husband work, the financial burden of closing costs is simply too much to carry alone. We are trying to raise $10,000 that she could utilize as a down payment.
Why It Matters:
This survivor has spent the past several years uplifting others in crisis. She is a source of light in the human trafficking community and a fierce advocate for those still trying to break free. Now, she needs us.
Together, we can assist her in crossing this finish line.
Your donation, regardless of the amount, will go directly towards helping her and her family move into a safe home. Your support is more than just financial as it is a message of hope, and a reminder that she is not alone. Rather, it is a celebration of how far she has come.
Please consider sharing this with your friends, your network, and your heart. With your help, we can honor her fortitude and assist her in building the secure future she deserves.
Thank you for your compassion, kindness, and belief in second chances. If you are not able to financially contribute, please lift her up in prayer. God never ceases to walk faithfully beside us in the immense and in the small spaces.
With immense gratitude,
Rev. Kara Matthews
