Hello, I am a Disabled Veteran and survivor of Domestic Violence. I recently lost the house that my VA loan enabled. I lost it in the divorce. I have been trying to find a place for me and my 75 year old mother and 15 year old son to live in. I have been looking for months and months. I have tried to get help through VA services like Soldier On. Due to massive VA cuts, I can’t find help nor even get them to call me back. We have run out of time and I’m being dragged back to court and can’t find a lawyer. I have massive PTSD from being a highly decorated Trauma Nurse. I finally found a nice man who is willing to help us get into a safe apartment. I must come up with first and last month rent plus deposit. My little family and I desperately need help.
