Urgent: Help Tara and Jackie Find Safety and Hope

Hi, my name is Tara and I’m reaching out with an urgent plea for help in order to escape a dangerous living situation on behalf of myself and my best friend, Jackie (Cat)

My life has taken an unexpected and deeply challenging turn, and I’m in desperate need of support to get back on my feet and ensure the safety of my beloved cat, Jackie, and myself.

I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a chronic disability that limits my ability to work a traditional job. For the past few years, I’ve been relying on my creativity and content creation to make ends meet. However, with the looming TikTok ban, I’m losing one of my only opportunities to help keep me afloat.

Additionally I’m now facing an emergency relocation due to circumstances entirely out of my control. My landlords have violated their lease agreement with the property owner, resulting in my eviction. Worse still, I was recently physically attacked and assaulted by one of my landlords, who even threatened to harm Jackie. I’ve had to use my savings to secure temporary housing for her to ensure her safety and a hotel for myself to ensure I would not be further harmed by the landlord who lives on the property, but I am facing homelessness and without a stable place to go.

Jackie is more than just a cat to me—she’s my family, my comfort, and my reason to keep fighting through all of this. Together, we’ve faced more challenges than I can count, but this is a hurdle I can’t overcome on my own.

I am asking for your support to raise the funds needed to secure a safe and stable living situation for Jackie and me.

The funds will go toward:

1. Emergency relocation costs (deposit, movers, first month’s rent) $4,500.00

2. Temporary housing for Jackie until we can settle in a permanent home $1,500.00

3. Funds for household essentials that I cannot bring with me (microwave, toaster, etc.) and some money to help me get back on my feet while I navigate this unexpected career pivot $2,500.00
