A  year round Vacation for De De

A lot of people know my 21 year old daughter Danielle as the girl that doesn't sweat. Some even think it sounds great, but they don't know the health factors of the condition. Danielle is at high risk of Hypothermia from being too cold and Hyperthermia for being too hot. She can't regulate her core temperature with external heat or cold. It's called Anhidrosis, a complete absence of sweat that effects her entire body. It's a rare medical condition and can be Life-Threatening. In simple terms her brain doesn't tell her sweat glands to work making her at high risk to have a stroke. 

    In the summer Danielle is in her home while others are enjoying the summer taking their vacation. Danielle was 3 years old the last time she was on a vacation, that was 18 years ago. Danielle has a golf cart for short rides in the yard when it's not too hot. We also have an old jeep we bought for her 8 years ago and in the summer we take the roof off and she enjoys rides in the valleys close to home. 

    We our reaching out to give her a safe place to vacation throughout the year so she can enjoy summer like most family's can. A place that is modified to her needs just like her home. A place she can enjoy with family and friends. A place that she will become familiar with. A place we can invite other adults like Danielle that deserve a vacation too. A place deep in the valleys of northern Pennsylvania where the temperature can be 20 degrees lower. A place she can enjoy year after year. She is so deserving.

     We also would like to get her a AC golf cart that she can ride at the cabin or camp and at home. 
     
    This may seem like an out of the ordinary GoFundMe page but Danielle is not your ordinary girl. Danielle has a long list of disabilities ,Autism disorder, Pervasive developmental disorder, MR, Epilepsy, Stereotypy/habit disorder too name a few. Danielle is very active she can run but only has a vocabulary of 3 words. Her mental age is that of a toddler an up.
     One of the most challenging disorders has been her Thermoregulation disorder that she has had since birth, her inability to sweat. As parents we had and still do take several precautions to protect her from any external heat.
