Hello, several students at the University of Houston are given the chance to create a short film with the established director, Michael Grossman. This short film is staffed and led by students in the film practicum class that teaches them the process of film making through the different stages of production: preproduction, film production, and post production. This short film will be cast with UH students and alumni. It was also written by a current UH student in the practicum class, Leandro Salazar. We will be filming over spring break in the Valenti Studios, on and around UH’s campus. An opportunity like this presents costs that are not commonplace in the schools budget and resources. There are some extra things we need and could use support. We will be using all proceeds, towards equipment, props, craft services, and meals for the cast and crew.
This year we would like to expand the experience with further equipment and more film festival entries.
Synopsis: A high school dropout is faced with walking the line between bad and and good in oder to help fund his dying mother's medical bills. Can a crime ever be justified?
If you would like to help the UH students in the Film Practicum class expand on their education, please donate.
For a tax refundable donation, donate to the Valenti website as a donation to the "Michael Grossman Film Practicum Class" https://giving.uh.edu/communication/ and designate “Grossman course” to get your tax deductible donations straight to the class.
Anyone who donates to us will get a special thanks in our credits!
