Safe and Reliable Vehicle for Pam Boston

Donation protected
Friends (and Friends of Friends),

As many of you know, the East Cooper/Mount Pleasant Community has been very kind to my family and I for going on 80 years now, and many of you have helped support the small business that my grandfather started and my father now runs.

Therefore, we wanted to try and do a little something to "pay it forward" if you will.

If you have ever patronized Coastal Carolina Cleaners on Northcutt Boulevard in Mount Pleasant, then you have surely had the pleasure of being helped by Ms. Pam Boston.

Pam is there from 7:00 A.M. until late in the afternoon, five days week, and I am sure she has worked at Saturday or two along the way as well.

Unfortunately, Pam was recently in a motor vehicle accident. She made it through the accident relatively well from a physical standpoint, but her beloved Isuzu Rodeo, complete with all of her Washington Redskins/"The Football Team" paraphernalia was totaled.

By the time the her claim was wrapped up, she was left with no vehicle and only about $400.00 from her old vehicle.

She still comes to work every day, but she is having to rely on CARTA to get her to and from West Ashley every morning, and winter is around the corner.

I told her recently that I would try to help her out, if she would let me, so here I am. I have spoken to a few folks in the know (who you may hear more from later), and it looks like the going rate for safe and reliable used vehicle that is at least substantially similar to what she had will be about $10,000.00.

Mary Frances and I are obviously going to make to contribution ourselves, as Pam has done such great work for us over the years.

So, if you can help, please make a donation. If you want to donate using some other means than this platform, please reach out to me directly.

I would hope several of my brethren in the Palmetto Society and/or some of the old dinosaurs who may still be roaming the Earth from my Clemson Sigma Nu days will be at the front of the line.

I will provide/post a full a complete accounting of every penny that is donated, regardless of where and how, and we will obviously have a little event of some kind when and if we get Pam some new wheels.

If we somehow raise more than we need, I will donate the balance to a worthy charity and provide/post documentation of that donation as well.

Please help if you can.

Thank you,

Vince Northcutt
