Help Willow Become a Service Dog
Donation protected
My name is Phoenyx, and I live with chronic conditions. My soul dog, Rylee, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on December 20, 2024, and the loss has had a significantly negative impact on my mental and physical health. Rylee rescued me in 2018 after I left my job as an addiction case manager following a traumatic work situation. She brought light to the lives of everyone she met.
Now, we are working toward getting me a service dog to give me back a quality of life I’ve been missing since 2018.
Steven, my spouse, works out of town for 14-21 days per month, which often leaves me to navigate daily challenges on my own. This is becoming difficult as I often have panic attacks when I leave the house, or I am in pain and cannot pick up things off of the floor. A service dog can assist me with my daily tasks.
Its training would include grounding me during panic attacks, both at home and in public; retrieving my medications or cane; helping me up when I fall; and picking things up from the floor when I cannot.
This is all being done through an approved service dog organization, but we had to purchase the puppy and fund the 24-month training on our own. The lab retriever cost $2350, and the training will be $11,000. This is above all the normal costs of the animal, like their food, toys, vet visits, etc.
Please consider sharing this GoFund Me if you are unable to donate and still want to support us. Thank you.
