Greetings, I am Marquis Jones, proud Cat Dad to Maxx & Morange. Maxx turned 4 years old on Aug. 2, 2025. Maxx is a rescue. We came into each other's lives as I was walking to church, passing the creek, when I heard a frightening cry. He was so tiny, he fit in the palm of my hand. This area has a large fox population. Fearing for the life of the kitten, I scooped him up, and thus began our life together.
On the evening of Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, Maxx began to exhibit issues relieving himself. By Saturday, he still showed such issues, spending unusual time sitting in his litter box. By Sunday, Oct. 5th, Maxx exhibited extreme abdominal pain. I then took him to the vet, where the vet informed me that Maxx had a urinary tract and intestinal blockage and he needed emergency surgery. She called ahead to the University of Penn Vet Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, told me to hurry safely, gave me the address, and we rushed Maxx immediately there.
Upon examination at the E.R., they also discovered an issue with his kidney levels that they would also treat.
He had to undergo surgery and will be hospitalized from Oct. 5th - 9th, considering there aren't any other concerns.
I totally believe he is in great hands with this medical staff and praying for a complete and expeditious healing.
The vet E.R. care is costly. Please help my CatKid receive the medical care he needs to return back home to his Pop & family.
Maxx's little brother Morange misses Maxx as he has been meowing since Maxx has been out of our home.
Maxx is not just a cat, he is family. Maxx is a Jones, and we need him back home healthy where he is happy cuddling up with us & Morange.
Please consider donating to our GoFundMe campaign to help us save Maxx's life. Any amount helps. If you can't donate, please share this post. Spreading the word is just as important! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We greatly appreciate your Support.
